Recibí con mucho entusiasmo la idea del homenaje a Roberto. Cuando Iñaki, Encarna, Héctor y Amadeu me invitaron no dudé en participar y colaborar de este esfuerzo. Si bien ha sido humanamente gratificante recordar la historia de mi relación con Bergalli, no me resultó fácil escribir esta página. La tarea se tornó difícil no sólo por la propia personalidad del homenajeado, sino también porque me une a él un sentimiento grande de aprecio, afecto y gratitud, y no quería que mi especial relación afectara para nada lo justo y merecido de este homenaje.
