LA TEMÁTICA DE LA
GOBERNABILIDAD
La gobernabilidad es un concepto de uso frecuen-
te, pero rodeado de gran confusión. Es por eso que
son necesarias algunas explicaciones teóricas elemen-
tales para aclarar su significado. En concreto, en las
siguientes páginas abordamos tres cuestiones. En pri-
mer lugar, los principales factores que han hecho de
la gobernabilidad un tema de gran interés social y
académico. A continuación, sus acepciones más im-
portantes y los elementos que la definen. Finalmente,
el análisis aplicado de la gobernabilidad y, en particu-
lar, algunos indicadores y estudios especializados que
se ocupan de medir la gobernabilidad (por ejemplo,
el estado de la gobernabilidad en varios países).
