For as long as there have been leaders, there have been advisors jockeying to achieve the position of greatest power and influence. President George W. Bush is no exception. The clearest example of that concerns the foreign policy arena, in which the Rumsfelds, Rices, Powells and Wolfowitzs are fighting a constant and subtle battle for the president's ear.

But White House insiders say such elbowing takes place among Bush's economic team, too. Literally. Indeed, one of the inside jokes among the moneymen is said to involve the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, Glen Hubbard.
