Reduction of naval confrontation subject of Moscow seminar.

The first international seminar on naval arms limitation and reduction of naval activities in the world ocean, held in Moscow from 6 to 10 February, called for a dialogue to reduce naval confrontation and strengthen stability and confidence on the high seas.

Sponsored by the Soviet Peace Committee, the Soviet Peace Fund and several other non-governmental organizations NGOs), the seminar brought together more than 370 statesmen, military men, scholars and public figures from some 40 countries.
