Mandate for Golan Heights force extended.

The Security Council on 30 May decided unanimously to renew the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) for a six-month period until 30 November 1991. The 1,331-member Force, established in 1974 to supervise the cease-fire between Israel and Syria in the Golan Heights area, draws troops from Austria, Canada, Finland and Poland.

Major-General Roman Misztal of Poland will take over as Commander of UNDOF beginning 1 October 1991, replacing MajorGeneral Adolf Radauer of Austria, who has commanded the Force since 10 September 1988.
