LIST OF CONTRIBUTORS
Mario Alberto Arrastía Avila is an expert at the Cuban Society for the Promotion
of Renewable Energies and Environmental Awareness. His latest book is Hacia
un futuro energético sostenible, published in 2015 by Editorial Nuevo Milenio.
Denise Baden is senior lecturer in Corporate Social Responsibility at the
University of Southampton.
Al Campbell is a retired Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of
Utah and a member of the editorial board of this journal. His current research
interests focus on the functioning of contemporary capitalism, and the theory and
practice of more humane alternatives. The Cuban economy has been one of his
central research areas for the past three decades. He is editor of Cuban Economists
on the Cuban Economy, Gainesville, University Press of Florida, 2013.
Luis del Castillo Sánchez is a graduate of Political Economy at the University of
Havana, Master in Business administration and holds a PhD in Economic Science.
Euclides Catá Guilarte has a PhD in Sociology and is a Professor in the
Department de Sociology at the University of Havana.
Marcos Antonio da Silva is doctor in Latin American Integration (PROLAM/
USP). He teaches Social Sciences and the postgraduate programme in Sociology
at Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD), Brazil.
Tom Fletcher is a professional Economist for the UK Government Economic
Service (GES). His interest in Cuba stems from time spent studying the country
at university, and the link between Cuba and Venezuelan oil was the main topic
of his dissertation project.
Lisa M. Glidden is Associate Professor of Political Science, director of the Global
& International Studies program at SUNY Oswego, and co-author of
Understanding Energy and Energy Policy, published in 2014 by Zed Books. Her
research interests include energy policy, social capital and civil society, and
social movements.
