In its 2005 review of the Fund's transparency policy, the Executive Board requested regular updates on transparency at the Fund, including publication rates of staff reports on country surveillance (Article IV consultations) and Fundsupported economic programs. Consistent with that request and with the organization's continued efforts to promote greater transparency, the IMF released its first annual report on key trends in the implementation of its transparency policy. The report, released on February 1, shows publication trends for a wide range of staff reports, documents of countries' policy intentions, and IMF policy papers. It covers publication rates of different types of documents, lags in publication, recourse to deletions, and member countries' publication rates.
