The elite of the international economic policy community gathered in Washington on October 18 both to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of The International Economy and pay tribute to the magazine's 2007 Policymaker of the Year, European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and former Chairman Alan Greenspan, along with Axel Weber, President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, all were on hand to honor Mr. Trichet and offer remarks on his exceptional handling of the Eurozone economy.
