The 44-member Ad Hoc Committee on the Indian Ocean, at the first part of its 1991 session (15-19 April, New York), completed the second reading of the draft provisional rules of procedure for the proposed UN Conference on the Indian Ocean, scheduled for Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1992.
