Havana Celebrates Carnival

: Carnival in Havana, the most popular celebration of the Island, was celebrated in recent days. It included concerts, dances and parades from the 12 traditional troupes in the Cuban capital's famous Malecon, or seawall. The mile-long show brought together a broad representation of the traditional dances and rhythms of the Caribbean country. The renowned troupes of the Cerro and Old Havana, whose foundations date back to early twentieth century, shared the stage with other young ones. Each year, thousands of Havana citizens enjoy the colorful parades from the troupes and bands, varied artistic performances and areas to dance or enjoy drinks and Cuban dishes.
