Arnold August has an MA in political science from McGill University, Canada.
He is an Author, Journalist and Lecturer living in Montreal. He is the author
of Democracy in Cuba and the 1997–98 Elections (1999) and Cuba and Its
Neighbours: Democracy in Motion (2013).
Denise Baden has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Southampton and
is currently Lecturer at the School of Management, University of Southampton.
She specialises in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Business Ethics and
has published widely on the topic of CSR in small- and medium-sized businesses.
Aleida Cobas Valdés has a master’s degree in Economic Analysis and Public
Economics from the University of the Basque Country and a degree in Economics
from the University of Havana. She teaches in the Department of Applied
Economics III (Econometrics and Statistics), University of the Basque Country
(Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU)) – Spain.
Ana Fernández Sainz has a PhD in Economics and a master’s degree in Public
Economics and Quality Expertise. She is Professor of Econometrics at the
Department of Applied Economics III (Econometrics and Statistics) at the
University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) – Spain.
Guillermo Foladori has a PhD in Economics from the Autonomous University
of Mexico. He is currently working in the Unit of Development Studies at the
Autonomous University of Zacatecas, Mexico. His research interests are in
society and technology, nanotechnology, health and society and environmental
studies.
Jenny Fortune is Senior Lecturer in Architecture at Sheff‌ield Hallam University.
Her research publications include gender and the built environment, and
sustainable housing.
Judith Hernández Ruiz has a PhD in Development Studies from the Autonomous
University of Zacatecas. She is currently working in the Technological University
of the State of Zacatecas, Mexico. Her research interests are in population and
development, international migration and gender studies with emphasis on Cuba.
