Water discharge from Toktogul dam exceeds 900 cubic meters a second

The water discharge from the Toktogul water reservoir exceeds 900 cubic meters a second 3 days in a row, the Electric Stations JSC reported.

The water discharge made:

925 cubic meters a second on January 14;

928 cubic meters a second on January 15;

928 cubic meters a second on January 16.

These are the highest levels since start of winter.

As of January 16, the volume of water in the Toktogul dam has made 10.36 billion cubic meters, which is by 7.5% more than in January 2022. The water discharge since early October has made 3.26 billion cubic meters, which is by 22% more than in the previous heating season.

The water discharge has made 410 million cubic meters for the past week, which is 1.56 times more than last year.
