Uzbekistan Plans to Increase Foreign Investments to $3.9 Billion in 2014

Uzbekistan plans to attract foreign investment iao $3.883 billion on 166 investment projects in 2014, according to the investment program for the next year, approved by President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

In 2013, foreign investments are expected to reach $3,017 billion.

The government plans to attract $1,214 billion on 74 projects by means of foreign loans, and $2.67 billion for 92 projects by means of foreign direct investments. The largest volume of foreign investments - $2,604 billion on 35 projects was provided for the energy sector.
