Senior Asian Weightlifting Championships - Day 5

lang="en-GBWomen's 75kg lang="en-GBLi Rongyan (CHN) delivered an incredible display in the women's 75kg, with the 25-year-old 2009 Junior World Champion lifting a Combined 250kg, 13kg more than Yao Chi-Ling (TPE), who took silver. Yeom Yunjeong (KOR) took the Combined bronze with 217kg.

lang="en-GBLi was the only lifter to start the Snatch above 100kg, lifting 105kg in her first attempt to finish with 110kg. In the Clean and Jerk she started at 135kg, ten kilograms more than Yao.

After Yao successfully lifted 136 in her final attempt, Li finished with a confident 137 and 140 to seal her well-deserved haul of three gold medals. Yao took three silvers and Yeom Yunjeong (KOR) grabbed bronze in the Snatch and in the Combined events, with Omadoy Otakuziyeva (UZB) snatching the Clean and Jerk bronze.
