Reaf firm ing its full comm itment to t he pea ce pro cess in the Repub lic of

Colo mbia,

Reca llin g al l its re solution s and Pr esident ial and press st atements regardi ng the

peac e proces s in Col ombia,

Welcomi ng th e progress made towa rds peace ac ross Colo mbia sin ce the adopt ion

of the Final Agreeme nt fo r En ding the Conflic t and Bui lding a S table and Lasting

Peac e (th e Fi nal Ag reement) , u rging the parties, wit h th e su pport of relevan t sta te

insti tutions an d security fo rces, as wel l a s c ivil socie ty includin g youth , to work

toge ther to conti nue bu ilding upon t his pr ogress and ad dress ongoing challe nges, in

part icular the continue d vio lence in c onflict -affecte d are as, t hrough compr ehensive

impl ementati on o f th e F inal Ag reemen t, in cluding rur al r eform, inclu sive polit ical

part icipation , its ethnic a nd gend er prov isions, and co untering illici t drugs includi ng

throu gh cr op sub stitutio n prog rammes, and recalli ng the d ispropo rtionate impac t of

the conflic t on women and it s effec ts on persons belon ging to indig enous and Afr o-

Colo mbian c ommunit ies,

Taking n ote of t he engag ement of the Peac ebuildin g Commi ssion wi th the

Gove rnment of Colom bia and looking forward to furth er coop eration, includi ng with

the relevan t UN agencie s, in order t o ensu re an integra ted and coher ent app roac h to

the compreh ensive i mplemen tation o f the Fi nal Agree ment,

Reca llin g i n parti cular it s resol ution 2366 ( 2017) which e stablish ed the United

Nati ons Verifi cation Mis sion in Colom bia ( the Verif ication Mis sion) to verif y

impl ementati on by th e Govern ment of Colombi a and Re volution ary Armed Forces o f

Colo mbia (FAR C-EP) o f sectio ns 3.2 and 3.4 of the Final Agr eement as calle d for i n

sect ion 6 .3.3 of th e Fi nal Agr eement, and reca lling the positive role pla yed b y th e

Verifica tion Mission in that regar d, e mph asis ing the effor ts of the UN Verifi cation

Miss ion in Colombi a to c ontinue to inte grate a gender perspe ctive a s a cro ss-c utting

issu e into i ts plan ning, v erificat ion and reporti ng, and recog nisi ng the imp ortance of

othe r perspec tives inc luding d evelopm ent, an d ensurin g ad equate g ender ex pertise a s

appr opri ate,
