Guided by the princ iples and purposes of the Ch arter of th e United Nations a nd

the ne ed to respe ct the obl igations a rising from the Charte r and other instrument s and

rules of inter national law,

Reaffirming the i nadmissibi lity of the acqui sition of territory by forc e,

Recalling i ts rel evant resolutio ns, in cluding resolut ion 75/97 of 10 De cember

2020, as well as those resolu tions ado pted at its tenth emergency special s ession,

Recal ling al so the relev ant reso lutions of t he Secu rity Cou ncil, i ncluding

resolu tions 242 (1967) of 22 Novembe r 19 67, 446 (1979) of 22 March 1979, 465

(1980) of 1 March 19 80, 476 (1980) of 30 June 1980, 478 (1980) of 20 August 1 980,

497 (1981) of 17 De cember 1 981, 904 (19 94) of 18 Mar ch 1994 and 2334 (2016) of

23 De cember 20 16, and stressing t he need for their implement ation,
