Recalling its res olution 57 /2 of 1 6 Septe mber 2002 o n the Unite d Nations

Decla ration on the New Partnershi p for Afric a’s Develo pment,

Recal ling als o its r esolutio n 57/7 of 4 N ovember 2002 on the fi nal revi ew and

appra isal o f the Unite d Nati ons Ne w Agenda for the Develop ment o f Africa in the

1990s a nd support for t he New Partner ship for Africa’s Dev elopment an d all its

subse quent resoluti ons, includin g re solution 75/ 322 of 9 Sept ember 2021, enti tled

“New Partne rship for Africa ’s De velopmen t: progre ss in im plementa tion and

inter national support” and E conomic and Soc ial Counc il resol ution 20 21/9 of 8 June

2021 on the soc ial dime nsions of the New Partnershi p for Afric a’s Develop ment,

Reaffirming its resol ution 70/1 o f 25 Septembe r 2015 , ent itled “Transformi ng

our world: the 203 0 Agenda for Sus tainable Dev elopment” , i n which it adopted a

compr ehensive, far-re aching and peo ple-cent red set of u niver sal and transfo rmative

Sustai nable Dev elopment G oals and t argets, it s commitme nt to worki ng tirele ssly for

the f ull implem entation of the Age nda by 2030 , its re cognition that e radicatin g

povert y in all its forms and dimensi ons, including extr eme poverty, is t he gre atest

globa l chal lenge and an indispe nsable requirem ent for sustainabl e deve lopment, its

commi tment t o ac hieving sustai nable de velopment in its thr ee dim ensions –

econo mic, social and environme ntal – in a b alanced and integrat ed manner, and to

build ing upon the achieveme nts of the Mi llennium Develop ment Go als and seekin g

to ad dress thei r unfinis hed busin ess,
