The Ge neral As sembly,

Recalling its resolution s 73/244 of 20 D ecember 2018, 7 4/237 of 19 Decem ber

2019 and 75/23 2 of 2 1 Decem ber 2020 , e ntitled “Eradi cating rural pover ty to

imple ment the 2030 Agenda for Sust ainable Developme nt”,

Reaffirming its resol ution 70/1 of 25 September 2015, enti tled “ Tran sforming

our world: the 203 0 Agenda for Sus tainable Devel opment”, in which it adopt ed a

compr ehensive, far-re aching and people- centred set of univer sal and transfo rmative

Sustai nable Dev elopment G oals and t argets, it s commit ment to wor king tirel essly for

the f ull implem entation of the Age nda by 2030 , its reco gnition th at eradic ating

povert y in all its forms and dimensi ons, including extr eme poverty, is t he gre atest

globa l chal lenge and an indispe nsable requirem ent for sustaina ble de velopment , its

commi tment t o ac hieving sustai nable de velopment in it s t hree dim ensions –

econo mic, social and environme ntal – in a b alanced and integrat ed manner, and to

build ing upon the achieveme nts of the Mi llennium Develop ment Go als and seekin g

to ad dress thei r unfinis hed busin ess,

Reaff irming also its resol ution 69/313 of 27 Jul y 20 15, on the Ad dis Ababa

Actio n Age nda of the Thi rd Intern ational Co nference on Financ ing for Dev elopment ,

which is an integral part o f the 2 030 Agenda for Sust ainable Developm ent, sup ports

and complements it, helps to contextualize its means of implementation targets with

concr ete poli cies and action s, and re affirms t he st rong polit ical com mitment t o

addre ss the cha llenge o f financi ng and cr eating a n enabling environme nt at al l levels

for su stainable developm ent in t he spirit of global partnersh ip and sol idarity,
