Impl ementati on of the Istan bul Pr ogramme of Act ion fo r the Leas t Deve loped

Coun tries for the Decade 2011 –2020, held in A ntalya, Turkey, from 27 to 29 May

2016 , and en dorsed by the As sembly i n its re solution 70/29 4 of 25 July 20 16,

Reaffirm ing the o verarch ing goa l of th e Istanb ul Prog ramme of Actio n of

over coming the stru ctural challen ges fac ed by t he leas t devel oped c ountri es in o rder

to era dicate po verty, achi eve the in ternatio nally agr eed devel opment g oals and e nable

grad uation f rom the least de veloped country categor y,

Reaf firming also it s r esolutio n 7 0/1 of 25 S eptembe r 2 015, ent itled

“Tran sforming our w orld: t he 2030 Agenda for Su stainab le Deve lopment ”, in w hich

it adop ted a compre hensive, fa r-reach ing and peop le-cent red set of univ ersal and

tran sformati ve Su stainab le D evelopm ent G oals and targ ets, its comm itment to

work ing tire lessly f or the fu ll impl ementati on of th e Agenda by 2030 , its rec ognitio n
