Reca llin g i ts pre vious r esolutio ns on the q uestion, inclu ding re solutio n 74/ 128

of 18 De cember 2019, and recall ing a lso th e sect ion o f reso lution 64/2 89 of 2 July

2010 en titled “St rengthen ing the inst itutiona l a rrangem ents for supp ort of gende r

equa lity and the emp owermen t of w omen”,

Deep ly convi nced th at the B eijing D eclarat ion and Platform for Actio n

and the

outc ome of the twen ty-thir d spec ial se ssion of the Gener al Assem bly, en titled

“Women 2 000: gend er equali ty, develop ment and pe ace for the twenty -first ce ntury”,

are impo rtant contri butions to the achi evement of gend er equ ality a nd the

empo wermen t of women and must b e transla ted into e ffective action by all States , the

Unit ed Natio ns syste m and o ther org anizatio ns conc erned,

Reaf firm ing the com mitment s t o gender equ ality and th e advance ment of wome n

made at the Millen nium Summit,
