6 to 12 Ma rch 19 95, and the t wenty-f ourth special session of th e Gener al Assemb ly,

entit led “ Wor ld Su mmit f or So cial D evelopm ent a nd bey ond: achi eving soc ial

deve lopment for all in a gl obalizi ng wo rld”, h eld in Genev a from 26 June t o 1 July

2000 , and no ting the role of the Co mmission for So cial Dev elopmen t,

Sust ainable D evelopm ent Goa ls and ta rgets, its commi tment to working tireless ly for

the f ull impl ementati on of th e A genda by 2030, i ts recog nition th at eradi cating

pove rty i n al l its for ms an d di mension s, in cluding extr eme poverty, is the greates t

glob al chall enge an d an i ndispen sable re quireme nt for sustai nable develop ment, an d

its c ommitme nt to a chieving sustain able de velopme nt in it s three dime nsions –

econ omic, social and envir onmenta l – in a ba lanced and integr ated manner, and to
