The General Assembly ,

Reca llin g its res olution 18 1 (II ) of 29 Nove mber 1947, in par ticular its

prov isions r egarding the Cit y of Jer usalem,

Reca lling also its resol ution 36/1 20 E of 10 Dece mber 1981 and all its

subs equent relevan t reso lutions, inclu ding r esolutio n 56 /31 of 3 Decembe r 2001 , in

whic h it, inter alia, dete rmined that all legisla tive and ad ministr ative measur es and

actio ns taken by Israel , the occu pying Po wer, which have alt ered or pu rported t o alter

the char acter and statu s of th e Ho ly City of Jerusal em, in particul ar t he so-ca lled

“Bas ic Law” on J erusalem and the pr oclamat ion of Jeru salem as “t he capita l of

Israe l”, we re nul l and void and must b e resc inded forthwi th, as well as it s prev ious

resol utions o n Jerus alem,

Recallin g further the Secu rity Council reso lutions relevan t to Jerusalem, inclu ding

resolut ions 2 50 (19 68) o f 27 April 1968, 251 (1968) of 2 May 1 968, 252 (1 968) of

21 May 1968 , 267 (1969) o f 3 July 1969, 271 (1969) of 1 5 September 19 69, 298 (197 1)

of 25 Septe mber 197 1, 476 (1980) of 3 0 June 1980, 672 ( 1990) of 12 October 1990,

1073 (1996) of 28 September 1 996 and 1322 (2000) of 7 October 2000 ,

Reca llin g, in particul ar, Se curity Counc il re solution 4 78 (1 980) of 2 0 Augu st

1980 , in which t he Cou ncil, i nter al ia, de cided n ot to recogni ze the “Basi c Law” on

Jeru salem, and su ch oth er acti ons by Israel that, as a result of thi s law, seek t o alter

the chara cter a nd s tatus of J erusalem , and call ing u pon States to act in a ccordan ce

with th e provisi ons there in, as well as C ouncil res olution 2334 (201 6) of 23 Dec ember

2016 , in which the Co uncil affirmed that it wo uld no t reco gnize any ch anges to the

4 June 1967 lin es, inc luding with reg ard to Je rusalem , other than tho se agree d by the

part ies throu gh nego tiations ,
