Comm ittee o n Adminis trative and Bud getary Q uestion s,

Reca llin g Sec urity Cou ncil reso lution 18 63 (2009) of 16 Janu ary 2009, in which

the C ouncil e xpressed its inten t to esta blish a U nited Nat ions pea cekeepin g operat ion

in S omalia as a f ollow- on forc e to t he Africa n Unio n Miss ion in Somalia , subj ect t o

a furth er decisi on of the Cou ncil by 1 June 2009, and re quested th e Secreta ry-Ge neral,

in ord er for the f orces of t he Missio n to be inc orporate d into a Un ited Nati ons

peac ekeeping operatio n, to prov ide a Unit ed Nation s logisti cal suppo rt packag e to the

Miss ion, inc luding e quipmen t and s ervices,

Reca lling al so the subsequ ent res olution s of the Securi ty Coun cil by which t he

logi stical suppo rt package fo r t he Mission wa s e xtended, th e l atest of whic h w as

resol ution 2 568 (20 21) of 12 Mar ch 2021 , by wh ich the Coun cil ext ended th e

logi stical su pport p ackage u ntil 31 Decemb er 2021,

Reca lling fur ther its resolut ion 63/2 75 A of 7 A pril 2009 on the fi nancing of the

activ ities arisin g fr om S ecurity Coun cil resoluti on 1863 (2009 ) an d it s sub sequent

resol utions there on, the l atest of which was resolut ion 74/29 5 of 3 0 Ju ne 2 020, as

well as its d ecision 74/571 of 3 Sep tember 2020,
