Reca llin g Securit y Coun cil re solution 199 0 (2011 ) of 27 J une 2 011, by which

the Coun cil e stablish ed t he U nited Nation s In terim Securi ty F orce for Ab yei for a

peri od of s ix mont hs, and the su bsequen t resolu tions by whi ch the Council extend ed

the mandate of th e Forc e, the latest of whi ch was resolu tion 2575 ( 2021) of 11 M ay

2021 , by whic h th e Cou ncil extend ed un til 1 5 No vember 2021 the man date of th e

Forc e as set out in para graph 2 of res olution 199 0 (20 11) and t he ma ndate

modif ication set forth in res olution 2024 (2011) of 14 December 2 011 and para graph 1

of re solutio n 2075 ( 2012) of 16 No vember 2012,

Reca lling al so its re solution 66/241 A of 24 Decemb er 2011 on the fin ancing o f

the Force and its su bsequen t reso lutions thereo n, th e late st of which was resolut ion

74/2 83 o f 30 Jun e 2020, as well as its decision 74/571 of 3 Se ptember 2020,

Reaffirm ing th e gen eral p rinciple s unde rlying the f inancin g of Unit ed Nat ions

peac ekeeping ope rations, as state d in its resol utions 187 4 (S -IV) of 2 7 Ju ne 1 963,

3101 (XXVII I) of 11 Decembe r 1973 and 55/ 235 of 23 D ecember 2000,

Mind ful of the fact that it is es sential to provid e the For ce w ith t he fi nancial

resou rces n ecessary to e nable i t to f ulfil i ts resp onsibili ties un der the relev ant

resol utions o f the Security Council ,
