Landlocked Develo ping Countrie s for the Decade 2014 –2024

Declaration of the High -level Midterm Review on the Implementation of the Vienna
Programme of Action for Landlocked Develop ing Countries for the Decade 2014– 2024,

Reaffirm ing the ove rarching go al of the Vienna Progr amme of Action of
addressi ng the special de velopment needs and challenges of land locked dev eloping
countrie s arising from th eir landlockedn ess, remoten ess and geograph ical constraints
in a more coh erent manner and thus contributin g to an enhanced rate of s ustainable
and inclusive growth, which can contribute to t he erad ication of poverty in al l its
forms an d dimensions, i ncluding extre me poverty,
Recallin g its resolutions 7 1/239 of 21 December 2016, 72/232 of 20 December
2017, 73/243 of 20 December 2018 and 74/ 233 of 1 9 December 2019 ,
Reaffirm ing its reso lution 70 /1 o f 25 September 2015, entitled “Transforming
our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainabl e Dev elopment”, in which i t adopt ed a
comprehe nsive, far- reaching and people-c entred set of univer sal and transformative
Sustaina ble Development G oals and targets, its commitment t o working tireles sly for
the full i mplementation o f the Ag enda by 2030, its recogni tion that eradica ting
poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greates t
global challenge and an indispensa ble requir ement for sustainabl e developm ent, its
