Havi ng consid ered the it em entitle d “Econo mic and ot her activi ties whic h affect

the i nterest s of the peoples of the Non-Self- Governi ng Territor ies”,

Havi ng examine d t he chapter of the rep ort of the Specia l C ommitte e o n t he

Situa tion with regard to the Impl ementati on o f the De claratio n on the Gran ting of

Inde pendence to Col onial Co untries and Peo ples for 2019 re lating t o the item,

Reca llin g its resoluti on 1514 (XV) of 1 4 Decemb er 1960, as well a s all its o ther

relev ant resol utions, i ncludin g, in parti cular, res olutions 46/1 81 of 19 Decem ber

1991 , 55/146 of 8 Dece mber 200 0 and 6 5/11 9 of 10 Dece mber 20 10,

Reaffirm ing the sole mn obli gation of t he adm inisteri ng Po wers un der th e

Char ter o f the Uni ted N ations to prom ote t he po litical, eco nomic, soci al an d

educ ational advance ment of the inh abitant s o f th e Terr itories u nder their

admi nistrati on a nd t o pr otect the human an d natural reso urces of those Territor ies

agai nst abus es,

Reaf firming also that any econom ic or other acti vity, in cluding the use of th e

Non- Self-Go verning Terr itories f or militar y activit y, t hat has a ne gative imp act on the

inter ests of the pe oples o f the N on-Self-G overnin g Territori es and on the exercis e of

their rig ht to sel f-deter mination in confo rmity with the Chart er, Ge neral A ssembly
