The General Assembly ,

Reca llin g it s resol utions 72/233 of 20 D ecember 2017, 73/246 of 20 Decembe r

2018 and all other r esolutio ns relat ed to th e eradic ation o f povert y,

Reaffirm ing its resolut ion 70/1 of 25 Septe mber 2015, entitle d “Tr ansformi ng

our worl d: t he 2030 A genda for Sust ainable Dev elopment ”, in which it adopte d a

comp rehensiv e, fa r-reachi ng and peopl e-centr ed set of universa l and transf ormativ e

Sust ainable D evelop ment Goa ls and tar gets, its commitm ent to wo rking ti relessl y for

the f ull impl ementati on of t he Agenda b y 2030, its r ecogniti on that erad icating

pove rty i n al l its for ms an d di mension s, in cluding extr eme poverty, is the greates t

glob al cha llenge and an in dispens able r equirem ent fo r sus tainabl e deve lopment , its

comm itment to achie ving s ustainab le de velopmen t in its three di mension s –

econ omic, social and envir onmenta l – in a ba lanced and integr ated manner, and to

buil ding up on the achie vements of t he Mil lennium Devel opment Goals and s eeking

to ad dress t heir unfi nished business ,

Reaffirm ing a lso its reso lution 69/ 313 of 2 7 J uly 2015 on th e Add is A baba

Acti on Agenda of the Th ird Inter nationa l Confer ence on F inancin g for Dev elopmen t,

whic h is a n integr al part of th e 2030 Agenda for Sus tainable Dev elopmen t, supp orts

and comple ments it , helps to co ntextual ize its means of imp lementa tion ta rgets wi th

conc rete pol icies a nd actio ns, and reaffir ms the s trong p olitical commit ment to

addr ess the challeng e of fin ancing and crea ting an enablin g enviro nment a t all levels

for s ustainab le deve lopment in the spirit of global partner ship and solidar ity,
