9 to 13 May 2011, an d endors ed by t he Gene ral Assem bly in i ts reso lution 65/280 of

17 June 20 11, in which the Assemb ly called upon all th e re levant stak eholder s to

comm it to imp lementi ng th e Pro gramme of A ction, and recall ing a lso the P olitical

Decl aration ado pted at the Com prehens ive H igh-le vel M idterm Rev iew o f the

Impl ementati on of the Istanb ul Pro gramme of A ction for the Least Devel oped

Coun tries for the Decade 20 11 –2020, held in Antalya, Turke y, from 27 to 29 Ma y

2016 , and en dorsed b y the Ass embly i n its re solution 70/29 4 of 25 July 2016,

Reaffirm ing the overa rching goal of t he Ista nbul Pr ogramme of Actio n of

over coming the struc tural c hallenge s faced by th e least develo ped co untries to

erad icate poverty, achiev e the inter national ly ag reed develop ment goals and e nable

grad uation f rom the least de velope d count ry categ ory,

Reaf firming also its resol ution 70 /1 of 2 5 Septemb er 2015, enti tled

“Tran sforming our world: t he 203 0 Agenda for Su stainab le Deve lopment ”, in which

it adop ted a compre hensive, fa r-reach ing and peop le-cent red set of unive rsal and

tran sformati ve Su stainab le D evelopme nt G oals and ta rgets, its co mmitme nt to

work ing tire lessly f or the f ull impl ementati on of th e Agenda by 2030 , its rec ognitio n

that eradic ating poverty in a ll its forms and dimensio ns, in cluding extre me pov erty,

is the gr eatest glo bal chall enge and an in dispens able requi rement for sustaina ble

deve lopment , its c ommitme nt to a chieving sustai nable d evelopm ent in its t hree
