Reaf firm ing the impo rtance of its resolu tion 44/25 of 20 Nov ember 1989 , by

whic h it adopte d the Conv ention on the R ights of t he Ch ild,

that Stat es partie s to th e Conven tion sh all unde rtake al l appro priate le gislat ive,

ther ein, whil e beari ng in min d the i mportanc e of the Optiona l Protoc ols to t he
