Reaffi rmin g its pre vious resol utions on the sit uation of huma n rights in Mya nmar,

the mo st recent of wh ich being re solution 70/23 3 of 23 December 2 015, and the

resol utions and de cisions of the Human Right s Council, th e most recen t o f which being

resol ution 34/ 22 of 24 M arch 2017

on the situatio n of human rights in Myanmar

and th e access g ranted to her durin g her

visit s to My anmar in Janua ry 2017 and Jul y 2017,

Expre ssing gr ave con cern at the r ecent re ports o f ser ious hu man righ ts

viol ations and abuses in Myanmar, i n particul ar in Rakh ine State , as well as i n Kachin

and northern Shan St ates,

High ly alarme d at the ou tbreak of v iolence i n Rakhine State in Aug ust 2017 t hat

has caused hundred s of tho usands of Rohi ngya ci vilians to flee toward s Bangl adesh,
