Reca lling its r esolutio n 47 /235 of 1 4 Septemb er 1 993 on t he fi nancing of the

Inter nationa l Tribuna l for t he Forme r Yugoslav ia and its su bsequen t reso lutions

ther eon, the latest o f which was res olution 70/24 2 of 23 Dece mber 20 15,

1. Takes note o f the f irst per formanc e report of the Secreta ry-Gen eral on the

budg et of t he Inter nationa l Tribun al for t he Fo rmer Yugos lavia f or the

bien nium 2016 –201 7;1

2. En dors es the conc lusions and re commend ations cont ained in the repo rt

of th e Advisor y Commi ttee on Adm inistrat ive an d Budge tary Que stions; 2

3. Re ques ts t he Secr etary-Ge neral t o ensur e that prope r manag ement,

inter nal control and acco untabili ty a re i n pl ace i n th e Tri bunal in order to preven t

any erroneou s payme nts;

4. Em phas ize s the importa nce of t he conti nued eff orts of t he Secr etary-

Gene ral to implemen t t he c ompletio n s trategy for the Trib unal in an efficien t a nd

timel y manne r;
