Reca lling its re solution 47/196 of 2 2 Decemb er 1992, by which it d eclared

17 Oc tober the Intern ational Day for the Eradi cation of Povert y, and its resoluti on

62/2 05 of 19 De cember 200 7, by which it procl aimed the Sec ond United Na tions

Deca de for the E radicati on of Povert y (2008 –2017) , as well as its r esolutio n 69/ 183

of 18 D ecember 2014 and its previo us resolu tions on h uman righ ts and ext reme

povert y, in wh ich it reaf firmed th at extreme poverty a nd exclus ion from s ociety

cons tituted a violati on o f hu man dignity and that urge nt n ational and inter nationa l

actio n was t herefore require d to el iminate them,

Reca lling a lso its re solutio n 5 2/13 4 o f 1 2 Decemb er 199 7, in which it

reco gnized that the e nhancem ent o f inte rnationa l coo peratio n in the field of hu man

right s was essen tial fo r the effecti ve und erstandi ng, pr omotion and protect ion of all

huma n rights ,
