Decl aration on the N ew Part nership for Afric a’s Develo pment,

Reca lling a lso it s resol ution 57/7 o f 4 Nov ember 2002 o n the final review and

appr aisal of th e Uni ted N ations New Agend a for the Devel opment of Africa in t he

1990 s and suppo rt for the New P artners hip for Afri ca’s Develo pment and a ll its

subs equent resolu tions, includi ng re solution 69/29 0 of 19 Jun e 201 5, ent itled “New

Part nership for A frica’s Develop ment: progress in i mplemen tation and i nternati onal

supp ort”,

Reaf firmi ng its resolu tion 70/1 of 25 Septe mber 2 015, entitle d “Tra nsformi ng

our worl d: t he 2 030 Agend a fo r Su stainabl e D evelopme nt”, in which it adopt ed a

comp rehensiv e, fa r-reachi ng and peopl e-centr ed set of universa l and transf ormativ e

Sust ainable Dev elopmen t G oals and targe ts, its commit ment to worki ng tireles sly

for the full i mplement ation of t his Ag enda by 203 0, it s reco gnition that eradic ating

pove rty i n al l its for ms a nd d imensio ns, i ncludin g ext reme povert y, is t he g reatest

glob al cha llenge and an i ndispens able require ment for su stainab le de velopme nt, it s

comm itment to achie ving sustain able develo pment in its three dime nsions –

econ omic, social and envir onmenta l – in a b alanced and integ rated manner, and to

buil ding up on the achi evements of t he Mi llennium Deve lopment Goals and seeking

to ad dress t heir unfi nished business ,

Reaf firming also its resoluti on 69/ 313 o f 27 J uly 20 15, e ntitled “Addis Abab a

Acti on Agen da of t he Third Intern ational Confere nce on Financi ng for Develop ment

(Add is A baba Action Age nda)”, whi ch i s an int egral part of the 2030 Age nda for

Sust ainable Dev elopmen t, supports and comple ments it, help s t o c ontextua lize its

mean s of imp lementa tion targets wit h c oncrete poli cies and action s, a nd r eaffirms

the strong pol itical commi tment to a ddress the challe nge o f fin ancing and creati ng

an enab ling enviro nment at all leve ls for susta inable deve lopment in th e s pirit of

glob al partn ership a nd solid arity,
