Recall ing th e outcomes of the World S ummit on th e Informatio n Society ,

Recall ing also t he outcome document o f the Unite d Nations C onference on

Sustai nable Devel opment, en titled “The future we want”,

Reaffi rming its r esolution 70/1 o f 2 5 September 2 015, entitled “Tra nsforming

our worl d: the 2030 Agenda fo r Sustainable De velopment” , in which it adopted a

compr ehensive, far-re aching and people -centred set of univers al a nd tr ansformati ve

Sustai nable De velopment Goals and tar gets, it s commi tment to workin g tireles sly for

the f ull imple mentation of thi s Agenda by 20 30, its recogniti on that eradica ting

povert y i n a ll i ts forms and dimensi ons, includin g e xtreme povert y, is the greates t

global cha llenge and an indispe nsable require ment for sustai nable developm ent, its

commit ment to achie ving susta inable de velopment in i ts three dimens ions —

econo mic, s ocial and en vironmenta l — in a b alanced and integrated mann er, and to

buildi ng upon t he achieve ments of t he Millen nium Devel opment Go als and seeking to

addres s their unfi nished busi ness,

Reaffi rming also its reso lution 69/3 13 of 27 Ju ly 2015 on t he Addis Ab aba

Action Agenda of th e Third Internati onal Con ference on Financ ing for Develop ment,

which is an inte gral pa rt of the 2 030 Ag enda f or Sus tainable Develop ment, supports

and complem ents it , helps to contextua lize i ts mean s of impleme ntation targets with

concre te poli cies and action s, and reaf firms th e stron g politi cal co mmitment to
