The

General

Assembly

1.

Note,

with approval the progress made

by

the Secretary-General in the field

of

geographical

distribution

of

the staff;

2.

Recommends

that, with due regard to

the

other principles embodied in paragraph 3 of

Article 101 of the Charter, he continue his efforts

toward the objective of staffing on

as

wide a

geographical basis as possible all posts and

grades internationally recruited;
