President al-Assad to Ghebreyesus: Syria looks forward to effective cooperation with WHO based on comprehensive vision

12 February 2023 (Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA)) Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad received Sunday Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and the accompanying delegation.

President al-Assad stressed the importance of the organization delegation's visit to Syria in these circumstances, in order to see the medical and humanitarian needs required to treat people affected by the earthquake.

President al-Assad expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the organization in this regard, and the provided support for the health sector in Syria.
