More than 70 million heads of cattle per 200,000 shepherds counted in Mongolia

71.1 million heads of cattle from 200,100 shepherd families were counted this year, which is equal to 122.5 million sheep. 20 million heads of livestock were put into economic circulation.

8,000 tons of raw beef, 5,000 tons of heat-treated beef, as well as raw and heat-treated horse meat, lamb and goat meats were approved for export without restriction based on the agreement policy, the recommendation of the National Food Safety Council says.

6,900 tons of horse meat, 144,500 tons of beef, 3,900 tons of lamb and goat raw materials, 5,000 tons of meat products, 252,000 tons of meat were produced as of December 31, 2022. A total of 16,100 tons of meat and products worth $50.6 million were exported to China, Russia, Japan, Kazakhstan...
