Mine developers ask to cancel or prolong prohibition for export of gold bearing ores and concentrates from Kyrgyzstan

Mine developers and other business associations complain about several problems in the mining industry, Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union of Kyrgyzstan said.

'The bankruptcy procedure was initiated for Kara-Balta mining factory. The president's order of October 26, 2022 banned export of gold bearing ore and concentrate, while the Kara-Balta mining plant has exclusive right for gold ore refinery. The bankruptcy procedure seriously affects implementation of the president's order,' the Trade Union said.
