The maternal and infant mortality rate dropped in Batken region, regional hospital's maternity unit chief Makhbuba Khuseinova said, Turmush reported.
The rate improved in 2022 compared to 2021, she said.
6 deaths of birthing mothers were registered in 2021, 5 deaths were registered in 2022. The lethal outcomes were linked to chronic and concurrent diseases.
