Kazakhstan says Russia supports transit of Kazakh oil to Germany

Kazakh Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said that Russia supported the transit of Kazakh oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline.

"We were waiting for official confirmation from the Russian colleagues, because the pass is through their border. We received verbal confirmation, but not the written one," Akchulakov said.

Kazakhstan can supply Germany with up to 1.5 million tons of oil per year.

"The maximum that we can give out is 6 million tons per year," Akchulakov said.
