Head of Russian Investigation Committee suggests sending naturalized migrants in Russia to 'special military operation' zones in Ukraine

Head of the Russian Investigation Committee Alexander Bastrykin commented on the suggestions to involve naturalized Russian citizens into 'participation in the special military operation in Ukraine' in an interview with the Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

While obtaining Russian citizenship, these people gain not only rights, but also responsibilities set forth by the effective legislation, Bastrykin said.

One of such duties is service in the Russian armed forces in case they meet the requirements. In the context of the special military operaiton, the state encourages foreign citizens to sign enlistment contracts and to acquire Russian citizens in simplified manner, he said.
