Government Postpones Introduction of Compulsory Vehicle Insurance in Kyrgyzstan Until 2021

AKIPRESS.COM - Government of Kyrgyzstan postponed the introduction of the compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicle owners until 2021.The move is linked to the new codes and laws' coming into force from Jan 2019 those new codes introduce higher fines for violation of road traffic rules, among other things.

Amendments will be made into those laws and the government aims to provide their full effectiveness, the statement said. Taking into account that the CTP insurance also requires additional financial burden for drivers and car owners, the government believes that postponement will be logical and right decision now, the statement said.
