Foreign Ministry checking reports about outbreak of serious infection among ethnic Kyrgyz in Afghanistan

The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kabul is checking information spread by Kyrgyz media outlets about outbreak of serious viral infection in the Pamir Valley in Afghanistan and deaths of ethnic Kyrgyz, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said.

The Embassy has sent its representative to the area, which lacks telephone connection, in order to find out the real situation on the ground.
