EU And US eHealth IT Roadmap - November 2016

The European Commission's Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology ("DG Connect") and HHS, after consulting with stakeholders, updated the roadmap for their Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") on eHealth/health information technologies.

DG Connect and HHS first published a "roadmap" for their actions under the MOU in the spring of 2013. The roadmap focused on two priority areas: (i) standards development to foster transnational interoperability of electronic health information and communication technology, and (ii) workforce skills to develop and expand the Health IT workforce in Europe and the United States.
