Theme for the 2009 thematic discussion of the

Economic and Social Council

At its 45th plenary meeting, on 25 July 2008, the Economic and

Social Council decided to adopt the following theme for its 2009

thematic discussion: “Current global and national trends and their

impact on social development, including public health”.
