Kazakhmys Appoints Non Ferrous China As Second Principal Contractor of Bozshakol Project

EWS (KZ) - kazakhmys-logo The Kazakhmys Group has appointed the Non Ferrous China as the second principal contractor of the major copper growth project at Bozshakol, it was announced on December 9 in the press release of the Kazakhmys posted on its website.

According to the Kazakhmys, the additional resources are to focused on the construction and commissioning of the processing plant. In this regard, an increase in the overall budgeted cost for the project is expected of around $350 million, however the appointment of the additional contractor will provide greater assurance that the project remains on track for first production in 2015, said in the press release.
