The
Government
of
the
United
Kingdom of
Great
Britain
and
Northern
Ireland
(hereinafter referred
to
as
"the
United
Kingdom
Government")
and
the
Government
of
the
Argentine
Republic
(hereinafter
referred
to
as
"the
Ar-
gentine
Government")
reaffirm
their
desire
to
maintain
the
bonds of
amity
and
to
foster
the
economic
relations
which
traditionally
unite
their
peoples
and
have
agreed
as
follows
:-
SECTION
I
GENERAL
PROVISIONS
Article
1
The
Contracting Governments
shall
use
their
best
endeavours
to
encourage
commercial
and
financial
transactions
between
the
two
countries
in
such
a
manner
as
to
maintain
trade
at
the
highest
possible
level.
They
shall
examine
with the
greatest
goodwill
proposals
tending
to
facilitate or
strengthen
their
economic
relations.
Article
2
The
Contracting Governments
shall
give
all
the
facilities necessary
for
the
rapid procurement
and
granting
of
any
import,
export
and
exchange
permits
that
may
be
required
for
the
fulfilment
of
the subsequent
articles
of
this
Agree-
ment.
SECTION
II
TRADE
PROVISIONS
Article
3
The
Contracting
Governments
shall
provide
facilities
for
the
exchange
of
goods
in
the
most
generous
manner
possible.
In
particular
they
shall
use
their
best
endeavours
within
the
limits
of
the
powers
which they
normally
exercise
in
these matters
to
facilitate
trade
between
their
countries
in accordance
with

1
Los
Gobiernos
Contratantes
realizar~n sus
mayores
esfuerzos
para que
se
intensifiquen
las
transacciones
comerciales
y
financieras
entre
ambos
paises
a
fin
de
mantener
al
mis
alto nivel
posible
del
intercambio.
Estudiarin
con
la
mayor benevolencia
las
propuestas
que
se
formulen tendientes
a
facilitar
e
incrementar
sus
relaciones econ6micas.
Articulo
2
Los
Gobiernos
Contratantes
acordarAn
todas
las
facilidades
que
sean
necesarias
para
la
ripida
tramitaci6n
y
otorgamiento
de
las
licencias
y
permisos
que
se
requieran para
el
cumplimiento
de
las
disposiciones
contenidas
en
el
presente
Convenio.

Los
Gobiernos
Contratantes
acordarAn
facilidades
para
el
intercambio
de
mercaderias, en
la
forma
mis
amplia
posible.
En particular
emplearAn
sus
mejores
esfuerzos,
dentro
de
los
limites
de
los
poderes
que
normalmente
ejercen
en la
materia,
para
facilitar
el
intercambio
recpiroco
de
acuerdo
con
las
