DATE OF THE TWENTIETH REGULAR SESSION OF THE

INTER-AMERICAN COMMITTEE AGAINST TERRORISM (CICTE),
CONVENED BY RESOLUTION AG/RES. 2945 (XLIX-O/19)

(Adopted by the Permanent Council at its virtual regular meeting held on August 14, 2020)

THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

MINDFUL that strengthening peace and security in the Hemisphere is one of the essential purposes of the Organization;

RECOGNIZING that terrorism in all its manifestations poses threats to the security of the member states;

REAFFIRMING that dialogue, exchanges of experience, and international cooperation are essential to strengthening security in the Hemisphere;

TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION that the General Assembly convened the Twentieth Regular Session of CICTE to be held at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC, during the first half of 2020;

TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION that the Permanent Council decided to set the twentieth regular session of the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) to be held April 23 and 24, pursuant to CP/RES. 1145, adopted on February 19, 2020; and
