DATE OF THE SIXTH INTER-AMERICAN SPECIALIZED CONFERENCE

ON PRIVATE INTERNATIONAL LAW (CIDIP-VI)

THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

CONSIDERING that, by resolution CP/RES. 798 (1297/01), the Permanent Council set December 3 to 7, 2001, as the dates for the Sixth Inter-American Specialized Conference on Private International Law (CIDIP-VI), to be held at the Organization’s headquarters;

BEARING IN MIND the new international context resulting from the terrorist attacks on the Hemisphere, which has made it necessary to modify the Organization’s existing agenda to take up more urgent topics consistent with the demands for common security; and

TAKING INTO ACCOUNT the successive reports on preparations for the Sixth Inter-American Specialized Conference on Private International Law (CIDIP-VI) prepared by the Department of International Law of the Secretariat for Legal Affairs and...
