Resumen:
La historia de Hispanoamérica es compleja. La Iglesia estableció una serie de
normas y costumbres para ser aplicadas en sociedades con un entendimiento del
mundo muy distinto del occidental.
En el presente trabajo hacemos una descripción histórica del papel de la iglesia en
Hispanoamérica hasta el siglo XIX para luego adentrarnos en el caso concreto de
Méjico en la relación Iglesia-estado en el sexenio del Presidente Carlos Salinas de
Gortari (1988-1993).
